Midwest Healthcare Linen Service is Hiring a Production Supervisor Near Des Moines, IA
Job description
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Laundry Supervisor is responsible for ensuring optimum machinery and personnel efficiencies of assigned areas in order for the plant to run effectively. The Laundry Supervisor is also responsible for executing the plant objectives including financial, safety, associate development, quality, and customer service. The Laundry Supervisor will manage a team ranging from 20-40 full-time employees. This is a hands-on supervisory position. The hours of this position will be from 3:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. with some Saturdays and if needed, overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the production process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards
- Supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure product quality and identify areas for improvement
- Train new employees on production procedures and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
-Previous experience in a high production laundry preferred.
-Basic computer knowledge and the willingness to learn new computer relationships.
